California employers already have a myriad of employment laws to comply with, so what’s one more? California Gov. Jerry Brown recently signed into state law the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014. Effective July 1, 2015, all employers — no matter the size — must provide paid sick time to their employees, including part-time and seasonal workers who have worked at least 30 days in a year.
