Bonny Calfy | December 12, 2024

At Paycom, we’re always looking forward. But with as many wins as we celebrated, 2024 was definitely a year worth looking back on.

Along with adding more awards to our shelf, we maintained our focus on strengthening our culture, serving our community and delivering game-changing tech to our clients.

Here are some notable highlights from the past year.

Our culture in review

More and more, Paycom is becoming known for its inclusive, innovative, empowering workplace culture. By offering excellent benefits, championing diversity and pushing the boundaries of HR tech, Paycom’s supportive work environment received numerous national awards in 2024.

Comparably, the employee review and salary platform, named Paycom on its Best Company Perks & Benefits, Best Work-Life Balance and Happiest Employees lists. We also made Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for Tech Workers 2024. And we were recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 by Newsweek.

Paycom continues to be a leading supporter of women in the tech industry. In March, we donated $50,000 to Oklahoma Women in Technology, an organization devoted to bridging the gap between genders in STEM fields. In November, we invited female tech students to our Women in Tech summits in Oklahoma City and Dallas to learn about Paycom’s culture and career opportunities and connect with women from several areas of the company. We also received a 2024 Empowering Women award from The Journal Record for making real, measurable strides in uplifting women in Oklahoma.

Innovation in action: GONE®

While it was introduced in late 2023, 2024 was truly the year of GONE. A revolutionary enhancement to our Time-Off Requests tool, GONE automates decision-making for employee time-off requests.

In June, GONE received a Globee® award at the 11th Annual Globee Awards for Customer Excellence. In August, GONE was named a Top HR Product of 2024 by Human Resource Executive magazine.

While recognition is great, it’s the impact GONE has on our clients that’s truly rewarding. A commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Paycom found that interviewed clients using GONE received a projected three-year ROI of up to 821% and annually saved:

  • each manager nearly a week* of unproductive hours
  • HR, finance and admin staff up to 192 hours
  • up to 240 hours in avoidable overtime

Employee giving program

Every year, Paycom employees show their generosity to a variety of community nonprofits that align with their values. This year, they donated over a quarter of a million dollars through the employee giving program and the company’s dollar-for-dollar match.

Here are a few highlights:

Paycom donated $35,000 to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge communities that offer temporary lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers when treatment is far away from home.

Three years after employees helped fund its construction, they raised $50,000 for Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center. The center tells the story of Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood district and memorializes the victims and survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

Canine Companions, a service that trains and provides service dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities free of charge, received $35,000 to help cover veterinary expenses.

Paycom continues to support causes that promote holistic well-being. This year, we donated $33,000 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to building better lives for Americans affected by mental illness.

Paycom has a history of supporting organizations that help children thrive. This year, we donated $100,000 to foster care organizations and over 400 toys to The Anna’s House Foundation just in time for the holidays.

Commitment to our community

Paycom has always been a big supporter of the communities where we live and work. And 2024 was no different.

Paycom proudly sponsored this year’s Martin Luther King Day Parade in Oklahoma City and Dallas. We also celebrated Pride Month as the presenting sponsor of Oklahoma Pride Parade and honored our Hispanic communities as a sponsor of Oklahoma City’s Fiestas de las Americas.

As an Oklahoma company, Paycom has been a proud participant in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and has been the presenting sponsor of the half-marathon since 2016. Once again, Paycom employees packed the streets with over 250 team members crossing the finish line and more than 100 supported runners from the sidelines.

Paycom held its annual community holiday event, Holidazzle, at Winchester Drive-In Theatre. We hosted two free screenings of The Polar Express for the public that featured free treats and photos with Santa.

Paycom, along with the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, continues to be the exclusive sponsor of the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award. This highly coveted award is given out annually to the nation’s best defensive back in college football and is part of ESPN’s live presentation of The Home Depot College Football Awards.
