Paycom Named a Top Job Creator by Inc. Magazine

Paycom, a provider of payroll and HR services technology, collected its second-consecutive Inc. Hire Power Award Thursday, a distinction bestowed to U.S.-based, private companies that are leading the way in creating American jobs.

The Oklahoma City-based company was featured in the Top 100, checking in at No. 33. The ranking recognized Paycom as being among the top job creators in the payroll and human capital management technology industry. Paycom was the only Oklahoma company ranked in the Top 100. Paycom bested its ranking from last year, jumping 49 spots from No. 82.

“Our team is extremely proud to be recognized for a second consecutive year as a leader in job creation,” Paycom Founder and CEO Chad Richison said.

Paycom has created approximately 357 jobs over a two-year span and has 750-plus employees located at its headquarters and sales offices across the country.

With proprietary cloud-based HR and payroll software that streamlines efficiencies for employers, Paycom continues to see its revenue grow year after year and plans to continue adding employees at its headquarters and in offices across the nation.  Its award-winning employee culture includes ongoing training and career growth opportunities.

From a single application, Paycom’s clients enjoy the convenience of talent acquisition, payroll, time and attendance, HR management and talent management products. The convenience of online Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology makes Paycom more efficient to operate and less expensive than traditional alternatives. Paycom’s cutting-edge technology is proving to be the perfect solution for those concerned with their ability to stay in compliance with new health care reform mandates, adding to its continued growth.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that only 222,000 full-time jobs were added in 2012—compare those numbers to the honorees of the Inc. magazine’s Hire Power Awards, which created 69,182 jobs between Jan. 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. The small to mid-sized companies that comprise this list –like Paycom – could hold the key to restoring America’s economic vitality.

“For the second year in a row, we are pleased to recognize the employers who are putting Americans back to work for a second time,” says Eric Schurenberg, editor-in-chief of Inc. “The Hire Power Awards are the only awards that single out job creators. We think it’s fitting to pay tribute to company founders not just for their business prowess but also for their immense contribution to the welfare of U.S. workers and the vitality of the U.S. economy.”

The Inc. Hire Power Award is for U.S.-based, private companies (both for profit and non-profit). Companies must have been founded in 2011 or earlier and have employed at least 10 full-time, U.S.-based employees as of Dec. 31, 2012. Companies must complete the Employee Verification Report. Top award finalists also may be asked to provide their 2012 EEO Employer Information Report.

An award ceremony, sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will take place Nov. 12 in San Francisco.
