Paycom Employees Give $20,000 to OKC YMCA

OKLAHOMA CITY (July 19, 2021) – Paycom Software, Inc., (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, presented a $20,000 check to YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City to help serve families who reside in local housing for underprivileged or underserved populations.

“Everyone knows that Paycom sets the standard for community investment here in OKC, and the YMCA is extremely grateful to be a trusted partner,” said Lacy Kendrick, executive director of social responsibility at YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. “These funds will help continue addressing food insecurity and child nutrition as we expand our network of community feeding sites and advocate for the most underserved neighborhoods.”

YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City offers programs, services and solutions to address the most complex and critical needs of the Oklahoma City metro area. Throughout 2020, the YMCA kept its doors open and provided emergency childcare for nearly 500 children of essential workers. As the year moved forward, the YMCA transitioned this program into a traditional summer day camp, which served more than 1,280 children and continued to provide support to more than 2,000 children during the school year.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with the YMCA as they serve the greater Oklahoma City area,” said AJ Griffin, Paycom’s director of government and community affairs. “Our employees are helping provide funding for essential programs for people of all ages, in addition to helping feed families across the metro.”

This donation comes as part of Paycom’s ongoing giving campaign in which employees have the opportunity to donate to a variety of local and national causes. Additional ways they give back include volunteer events and service initiatives that strengthen families and communities.

In addition to providing childcare and day camp programs, the YMCA also served 92,132 meals and snacks to kids at over 20 locations through partnerships with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and local school districts. They also distributed over 17,000 pounds of food to 312 families through the USDA Farmers-to-Families giveaway program in 2020. As many schools transition back to in-person classes for 2021, the YMCA looks forward to continuing to serve local high schools through the Achiever’s mentorship and career exploration programs, along with after-school enrichment in the OKC branches and Housing Authority communities.
